The city tour was a real highlight for Jackelyn.

“This great tour provided a snapshot of the city where we learned about the lives of the locals and how the city was impacted by the Vietnam war. Our guide was 3 years old at the end of the war, and shared his touching story with us. The city is filled with local markets and fascinating culture”, she says.

Danang is one of Vietnam’s most important port cities, and an emerging holiday destination in its own right. It’s also the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Hoi An.

In Danang, Jackelyn stayed at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa.

“This beautiful beachside resort offers sea breezes and stunning views of the South China Sea at the mouth of the Han River in Central Vietnam”, she says.

“I just loved the Hyatt Regency’s fantastic event space. From the seemingly endless restaurant choices, Lovely beachside function set-ups, ballrooms decorated like jungle resorts, and the pool side cabanas—you couldn’t go wrong with a group of any size here”, adds Jackelyn.

Jackelyn really enjoyed the Hoi An River basket ride experience.

“This was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Being paddled down the calm river by an elderly local woman in a little basket boat with the sun setting and not a breath of wind in the air was divine”, she notes.

Floating bar set-up.

The experience was enhanced by having some fisherman demonstrating their time-honoured techniques, floating cocktail and canape bars, and a local boy playing a traditional flute.

“This was such a special experience”, she says.

The Field Restaurant & Bar.

The final stop on this outing was The Field Restaurant & Bar where the group enjoyed a local BBQ dinner and music—a brilliant experience for small incentive groups.
